About Qian
Qian is an NMC-registered Midwife with over 10 years of clinical experience across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care within busy NHS trusts, supporting both straightforward physiological births and complex, high-risk pregnancies.
She trained with a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery from the University of Greenwich, and her practice blends robust clinical expertise, including continuity of carer models, water births and active birth support, and coordinating high-risk care for conditions such as pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes, with a deeply empathetic, trauma-informed approach.
Qian views the midwife-mother relationship as a partnership built on trust and mutual respect, and is a strong advocate for women's autonomy and informed choice throughout their birthing journey, alongside comprehensive postnatal support including infant feeding guidance and emotional wellbeing screening. The Motherhood Practice represents the realisation of her long-held vision to offer a more personal, continuous model of care.
