About Darya

Darya is a Clinical Academic Midwife with a joint appointment at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and University College London (UCL). She has over 13 years of experience as a registered midwife, and also holds a PhD in Midwifery, having contributed to the POPPIE study, a trial looking at continuity of midwifery care for women at increased risk of preterm birth.

Her clinical interests are centred on antenatal and postnatal care, with particular expertise in supporting both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies.

Darya is also a mother of two young children and has gone through the pregnancy journey from both professional and personal perspectives. This allows her to bring not only clinical expertise, but also empathy, understanding, and practical support as you navigate this important new chapter in your life. The Motherhood Practice represents the realisation of her long-held vision to offer a more personal, continuous care.
